Observations:

November 2017 -- Bereglazov had a quiet August rookie tournament in Traverse City and followed that up with a lacklustre Rangers training camp where he was an early cut down to Hartford.  After 13 games in the AHL (1G, 3A, 4pts) the Russian defenseman seemed to be finally adjusting to the North American style game.  In November Bereglazov was assigned to Metallurg Magnitogorsk of the KHL through the European assignment clause in his contract.  He remains under contract with the Rangers through 2018-19 however a return to North America is highly unlikely at this point in time.  Geoff Kent

August 2017 – Bereglazov signed with the Rangers in April 2017 after skating the last three seasons in the KHL.  In 162 career KHL games he posted 5 goals and 28 assists, producing at a rate of 0.2 points per game.  Bereglazov is best known for his solid defensive zone play, being a physical presence who can move the puck out of his end.  Expect Bereglazov to challenge for the seventh defenseman position in New York with potential for a Russia return assuming he is sent down to Hartford. – Geoff Kent
