June 2019 – Siebenaler did not get a qualifying offer from the Penguins which means he becomes an unrestricted free agent.  Jokke Nevalainen

May 2019 – Scratch Siebenaler from your list of viable prospects, which is what Pittsburgh will likely do with the bulky but underwhelming D-man. In only seven games, the 6-2, 208-pounder matched his total of a goal and an assist in 17 games with the AHL’s Cleveland Monsters. The catch? He did it in the ECHL. Pittsburgh is unlikely to offer the 23-year-old RFA a new deal. Mark Allan

February 2019 – Acquiring the 6-2, 208-pound blueliner from Columbus was strictly a blueline depth move for the Penguins’ organization. After totaling seven goals and as many helpers in 83 games with the AHL’s Cleveland Monsters, the right-handed shot went pointless in his debut for Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, where the impending restricted free agent can expect to remain unless several of Pittsburgh’s defensemen contract anthrax. Mark Allan

February 2019 – Siebenaler has been traded from Columbus to Pittsburgh in exchange for a conditional seventh round pick.  Jokke Nevalainen

January 2019 – Siebenaler is currently in his third season with the Cleveland Monsters of the AHL. Through 14 games, the offensive defenseman has amassed a mere one goal and one assist. He is in the final year of his contract. With that, it is unknown if he will continue his development with the Blue Jackets organization. He is at least two to three years away from NHL duties. Frank Pellegrini

January 2018 – In a low-scoring campaign overall for AHL Cleveland, Siebenaler has registered two goals and three assists in 20 Monster contests, a slight uptick from his 2016-17 pace which ultimately netted three goals and six points in 43 games. Having skated in about half of the club’s contests this year, the 21 year-old will likely need a bit more experience and production in the minors before CBJ entertains any thoughts of bringing him up. Kevin Wickersham

November 2017 – With AHL Cleveland this year Siebenaler hasn’t been a scoring machine, registering a lone assist and no goals while skating in seven of the Monsters’ 13 contests. He has yet to realize the power play hopes Columbus likely has for him, as he hasn’t scored on the man-advantage as a pro, but his defensive mechanics and instinct still appear solid. He has a plus-3 thus far in 2017-18, compared to a minus-14 during last year’s rookie campaign. Kevn Wickersham

September 2017 – Having profiled in juniors as a slick passing, offensive blueliner with power play quarterback potential, Siebenaler’s production slowed in his initial professional campaign. After a three-year, 199-game OHL career in which he registered 96 points, 2016-17 saw him total three goals and three assists with a minus-14 in 43 AHL Cleveland contests. He’ll likely be expected to improve that in the upcoming final campaign of his three-year entry level deal to earn an extension. Siebenaler is a very gifted zone-to-zone puck mover, which hopefully will help him more in 2017-18. He’s added a good amount of bulk since his early days with the Niagara Ice Dogs to help withstand the next levels, and his defense has proven reliable. Kevin Wickersham
