Bokondji Imama, LW

Shoots: L

Height: 6-1

Weight: 214

Born: 1996-08-03

Hometown: Montreal, QC, Canada

Drafted: 2015 by the Tampa Bay Lighting, 180th overall

Observations:

May 2017 - Imama's second full year with the Sea Dogs saw the enforcer take a significant step offensively while maintaining his intimidating stature as a force to be reckoned with in the "Q". Expectations for the left-wing should remain low, as this streak of large production is in part, due to the unusual opportunity that he was given while many of his teammates were competing at the World Junior tournament. Though this opportunity has ended with the return of those teammates, Imama seems to have retained the confidence to make an offensive effort as reflected in his playoff production, which ranks fifth among Sea Dogs as they enter the QMJHL finals.   Brayden Olafson

September 2016 – Bokondji Imama is a prototypical enforcer who not had any fantasy relevance in his career despite being drafted by the Lightning. His skating ability has drastically improved in his post draft year and at development camp this summer he also impressed with some offensive skill.  Imama is still a long shot to make the NHL and only offers fantasy value in leagues with penalty minutes and hits categories, any offence would be a bonus. Imama may return to the QMJHL for another year as an over age player, but could also go to the AHL and begin his pro career. Peter Harling

Fantasy Outlook: D-

Imama is an elite enforcer with little fantasy value outside PIM’s and hits.
