March 2015 - Crisp has had a somewhat disappointing AHL rookie season thus far. While he has brought plenty of physicality and toughness to the lineup, his lack of point production (three points in 30 games) is concerning. With the NHL starting to shift away from enforcers, Crisp is going to have to develop more as a hockey player and fast in order to secure a future in the NHL. Eric Daoust

April 2014 – Crisp is a big physical forward whose game is finally starting to come around. This year in Sudbury he set career-highs with 28 goals and 55 points along with 120 PIM in 67 games. Crisp will have to improve on his already good skating and athleticism to maximize his skill set as he gets his feet wet at the pro level. Having signed a new three-year entry-level contract, he will begin next year with the AHL’s Hamilton Bulldogs. In all likelihood, he will not be fantasy-relevant at any point during the lifetime of this contract. However, there is an outside chance that he finds a spot on the Canadiens’ fourth line in an enforcer role in a year or two from now. One thing to remember here is the Habs’ historic need for size and toughness. Crisp possesses both in spades, which will afford him a great opportunity to earn a roster spot in the coming years. Fantasy Outlook: D+

Depth winger with limited upside that will get his value from the peripheral categories.
