Observations:

November 2016Vladar had a great game Nov. 25 on the road versus the Ice Caps. It would not be a stretch to say that Vladar stole the game for the Providence Bruins, who were outplayed for large segments of the game. Vladar is quickly ascending the Bruins' goalie depth chart and is seeing more game time lately. Vladar has all the tools to be a good goalie at the AHL and even NHL level if he continues to improve at this pace. Michael Drover

April 2016 - Vladar has signed a three-year entry level deal with the Bruins. The signing caps a strong year for Vladar, when he posted a .920 save percentage and 2.31 GAA with the Chicago Steel of the USHL. Still just 18, Vladar is a long-term project, but his size (6-5) and quickness suggest he could be an NHLer one day. Michael Boeckler

June 2015 - The Boston Bruins selected goaltender Daniel Vladar with the 75th pick of the 2015 NHL Entry Draft. Brendan Ross

June 2015 – Vladar fits the description of a new NHL goalie with size at 6’5”. Vladar’s size alone lets him take up a lot of the net although at only 185 pounds he is pretty lanky. He has the assets that make him an intriguing prospect including a lengthy resume showing solid progression from year to year. Vladar moved to the U20 league in the Czech Republic at age 15 but only played one game, he spent his 16-year-old season at the U18 and U20 level, this past year (2014-15) Vladar played in the U20 and the Czech2 league. Vladar shined at the Czech2 level posting a 1.97 GAA and .933 save percentage in eight starts. He was named to the U20 team and suited up in four games at the U18’s in the Czech Republic putting up a 3.38 GAA stopped over 90% of pucks. Vladar is able to take away the lower part of the net with his quick leg reflexes and some have compared him to Dominik Hasek in terms of his reflexes. Vladar has already been selected into the USHL and could come over, he will be unable to come to the CHL however due to the new CHL import goaltender ban. Benjamin Gallant

Fantasy Outlook: B+

Vladar’s natural skill to go along with his hulking size leaves the sky as the limit for this potential star starting goalie in the future.
