June 2019 – Zablocki did not receive an entry level contract from the Red Wings. Because he’s born in 1998, he becomes a free agent.  Jokke Nevalainen

March 2019 – Zablocki is becoming somewhat of a hired gun after moving twice yet again this year – first from the Victoria Royals to the Kelowna Rockets back in September, and then again in January to the Vernon Vipers of the BCHL. The Vipers were looking for more scoring and so far the addition of Zablocki has paid off as he has been a point-per-game player to date. He provides versatility in that he can play at all three forward positions, is a fast skater, likes to play physical, and is strong on face-offs. He models his game after Andrew Shaw and has drawn comparisons to Detroit fan-favorite Tomas Holmstrom. Mark Hillier

January 2018 – Zablocki has been traded twice in the WHL the past two months. Once from Red Deer to Lethbridge and then again a month later (at the deadline) to the Victoria Royals who are fighting to win their division. Zablocki is a decent all-around NHL prospect who plays a responsible, smart and simple game. He is not elite in any sense but he has no obvious weaknesses either, although at times Zablocki lacks discipline and takes unnecessary penalties. He sees himself as a bit of a pest on the ice and models his game after Brad Marchand and Andrew Shaw. Zablocki projects as a solid middle to bottom six role player that could have value in hits and PIM leagues. Mark Hillier

July 2017– After completing his second season in the WHL, Zablocki ended up at 52nd on NHL Central Scouting’s final list for North American skaters. In his first season in the WHL in the 2015-2016 season Zablocki tallied 37 points in 72 games. In January of this year he was traded from the Regina Pats to the Red Deer Rebels where he continued to develop his offensive game finishing the season with 54 points in 64 games. His eight points and six goals in six playoff games this season showed his ability to step up when his team needed him most. Zablocki is a versatile forward with the ability to play in different roles and on different lines. He contributes not only on the PP but also on the PK. He isn’t overly flashy but he plays a tenacious style and isn’t afraid to go to the dirty areas. Overall, he is a jack of all trades type player that isn’t great at any one particular area. Zablocki will most likely return to Red Deer for this season and then will need a couple seasons in the AHL to develop before being considered for a spot on Detroit. The Red Wings like to take their time with their prospects and they’ll do the same with Zablocki
