Dec 2017 – Marek’s play has been tremendous. Ever since Jankowski got called up, he has solidified himself as the top offensive C on a terrific Stockton team. He is an NHL player. He looked that way in pre-season and even more so with the Heat. Flames fans remember when Derek Grant dominated the minors while struggling at the NHL level. He has two-way capabilities but will need to cross his fingers for an opportunity. He’s one of the best players in the AHL right now. – Joel Henderson

Oct 2017 – Before Jankoski’s call up, Hrivik was centering Klimchuk and Foo, making a dynamic second wave of offense. He’s looked engaged, creative and speedy. If not for the long awaited chance for Jankowski, he would most likely have been the call up. Depending on how Flames brass sees him, he could be the reason why Jankowski can move up, or he might fight for a chance himself. If he keeps playing the way he is, expect a call up and a mixture of healthy scratch and fourth line duties. – Joel Henderson

July 2017 – After a 16-game stint with the Rangers and 40-point, 56-contest campagin with their AHL affiliate in Hartford, the soon 26-year-old left wing inked a one-year minor league contract with Calgary. Kevin Wickersham

December 2016 – Hrivik had a solid start to the season in Hartford, leading the team with 17 points (8G, 9A) through the first 20 games. Marek’s strong play earned him his second NHL career call up in early December as the Rangers struggle with some injuries within their forward group. While held scoreless through his first six games with NYR he has averaged 12 minutes of ice per night in a depth forward role. The 25-year-old winger needs to make the most of this opportunity if he is to secure an NHL roster spot and provide any fantasy value. Geoff Kent

July 2015 – The Czech import forward played his third straight season with the Hartford Wolf Pack of the AHL. After a disappointing first half, where he scored only eight points in 34 games, Hrivik picked up his game in the second half and in his last 41 games racked up 24 points. He started his 2014-15 stint on the third line, but worked his way up to the second line center spot and replaced permanently the AHL veteran Chris Mueller. After his good second half Hrivik re-signed with the Rangers, and most likely will continue to develop his game in the minors however if he can maintain his form, he can earn a call-up to the big club during the season. Hrivik is a good all-around player and has got great size. He works very hard every shift and rarely make mistakes. The 24-year-old forward could be a great energy fourth line winger at NHL level who can play defense. He is a decent skater and has some offensive skills, own a quick shot and he is a good stick-handler but lacks of finishing ability. Jozsef Kurtosi

February 2014 – Hrivik, playing his second season as a professional hockey player, has been bit of a disappointment. He almost made the Rangers roster out of training camp last fall, but Rangers sent him down to the AHL. In Hartford, Hrivik hasn’t taken a step forward. He is a big, smart kid with slick passing skills and is playing top 6 minutes with powerplay time, but his point production is not there. His effective two-way game will makes him a decent NHL role player, perhaps a future third liner if he put things together after this year’s sophomore slump. Jozsef Kurtosi

April, 2013 – Hrivik is a talented winger with excellent vision and a big frame. His first full professional season was cut short due to a concussion and his struggles with consistency as well as speed remained an issue throughout. The Rangers want to see Hrivik use his body in the offensive zone to create opportunities. If he can work on his skating, he possesses the offensive talent to be a scorer at the pro-level. In 2011-12 he led the Connecticut Whale in playoff goals (five) and points with nine in nine games.
