Observations:

October 2017 – Gortz showed promise in the 15-16 season with 18 goals and 47 points in 72 games, but started off slow with the Admirals the following year, only registering four points in 30 games. He was dealt to Anaheim and played in San Diego the rest of the season, showing signs of life, scoring 19 points in 28 games. However, failing to reach the promise land, he decided to go back home and signed a two-year contract with the Malmo Redhawks. He has started off strong, with four points in four games, so keep tabs on him in your dynasty leagues that have a deep farm system, but you may have to wait a couple of years. Lucas Main

February 2017 – Görtz is currently playing with the Anaheim Ducks AHL affiliate, San Diego Gulls. He has 0.52 points per game at the AHL, but only 12 points in 42 games this season split between the Admirald and the Gulls. It remains to be seen if he can turn things around and start trending back in the right direction. Niko Salminen

June 2014 – Nashville’s eighth selection in the 2012 NHL draft signed his three year entry level contract with the team. Görtz is a big bodied winger who possesses a power game and an ability to chip in offensively. Görtz is still very raw and like many power forward prospects is a long term project. Görtz has shown an ability to score goals in the junior ranks however he has yet to do so at the pro level where he is given limited ice-time. In 40 games split between Farjestad and Frolunda of the SHL this past season, Görtz potted eight goals and 10 points. The likely move to Milwaukee next season should give Görtz more ice-time and the opportunity to refine his offensive game on smaller ice. Donesh Mazloum

Fantasy Outlook: D+

There is still a small chance for him to work his way up to the Ducks bottom lines.
