February 2020 – Noel has been traded from Chicago to Philadelphia.  Jokke Nevalainen

March 2018- Noel has made his AHL debut with Rockford and has brought his usual tenacity to the rink. A great teammate, Noel will do whatever it takes to win. Another in a growing line of great skaters in the Blackhawks system. Tony Carr

December 2017- After suffering an injury at camp, Noel has finally got his season underway, skating with the Indy Fuel of the ECHL. His transition into professional hockey seems to be fairly seamless, as he is scoring at a regular pace while remaining on the positive side of the plus/minus statistic and showing that he hasn’t lost his aggressive style by getting into his first pro fight. In short, Noel is doing everything he needs to do to take the next step in his career. Tony Carr

May 2017 – This was a breakout season for the 5’ 10” forward from St John’s. After being drafted by the Blackhawks, Noel racked up 50 points during the regular season and adding another 11 in the playoffs, all while winning the QMJHL’s President’s Cup and making it to the semifinals of the Memorial Cup. Noel’s strengths remain his skating ability and his “take no prisoners” attitude on the ice regardless of size. It’s his work in all areas of the game, playing on the powerplay, playing while shorthanded, and doing all the little things that will make him a valuable professional. Tony Carr

March 2017 – Noel saw his teammate with the Saint John Seadogs, Matthew Highmore, sign a contract with the Blackhawks and has responded with some of his most consistent play this year. Noel has quietly put together a solid season, highlighted by a career high six game winning goals. Tony Carr

November 2016 – Whatever they told him at the Blackhawks rookie camp has stuck. Noel has added a leadership component to his game this season, to go along with his creative offensive skills while his greatest asset remains his skating. Tony Carr

June 2016 – Continuing to show no fear about drafting skilled but undersized forwards, Chicago took the undersized center in the fourtth round. Mark Allan

June 2015 – Passed over at the 2015 NHL Draft, Nathan Noel will return to Saint John and improve upon his productivity in 2015-16 for a chance to be selected in 2016. Noel received a camp invite to the Anaheim Ducks Development Camp. Brendan Ross

June 2015 – Nathan is a fast skater with great acceleration, can skate as fast with as without the puck and can turn on the jets instantly to beat defenseman down the wing. Being able to play with the puck at high speeds is an impressive talent in itself but what Noel can do with the puck is great. Might be best as a wing at the NHL level as already struggles with defensive assignment as a center. He needs to get bigger at only 172 pounds and his physical play is weak to none existent; however his offensive upside is high shown by his 29-goal, 40-assist year in 2014-2015 for the Sea Dogs. Nathan Noel also showed some improvement in his defensive game playing in a depth role for Canada’s U18 team picking up two assists and a plus one rating in seven games. Ben Gallant
