Observations:

November 2017 – Due to an upper-body ailment, Nolan Patrick has missed seven games and counting. He is however expected to return to practicing with the team shortly and even travel with his comrades as they clash with the Wild and the Jets in an upcoming road trip. Naturally he has added incentive to get a clean bill of health in short order as he originally hails from the Winnipeg area. Edric Joseph

July 2017 - Nolan Patrick successfully underwent abdominal surgery. He was unavailable for the on-ice component of the during the Flyers’ development camp as he was still recovering at the time, but come training camp it will be all systems go for the number two draft pick this past June. Players like Patrick in the fold made it much easier to part with the likes of Brayden Schenn when the opportunity presented itself to GM Ron Hextall on draft day. Edric Joseph

February 2017 – Nolan Patrick has been the consensus top-ranked prospect for the 2017 NHL draft since day one. He has the size and skill down the middle that all NHL teams covet. There are no weaknesses to his game; he has excellent hands and puck skills. He is equally adept at making plays and passes as he is shooting and finishing. His skating is strong with good mobility, balance and a formidable top speed. He plays well in all three zones and is strong on draws, and shows leadership and maturity. Patrick is strong in all categories scouts are looking for but does not really have any elite assets, a jack of all trades but a master of none. Peter Harling

Fantasy Outlook: A+
