Pavel Koltygin, C/LW

Shoots: L

Height: 6-1

Weight: 185

Born: 1999-02-17

Hometown:  Moskva, RUS

Drafted: 6th round 2017 (176th overall)

Observations:

January 2018 - Despite falling to the sixth round of last summer’s draft, Koltygin is having a strong sophomore season with the Drummondville Voltigeurs. The dynamic Russian forward currently has 11 goals and 32 points through 41 contests, with a plus-23 rating on top of it. Koltygin has played on multiple lines for the Voltigeurs, including a recent relegation to the fourth line. Despite seeing power play time, he has yet to score on the man advantage so far.

Koltygin possesses all the tools a successful NHL scoring forward needs. He has good puck skills, is an excellent skater, and has a dangerous shot. Coupled with his elite passing ability, he is always a threat in the offensive zone. With his decent size and strong faceoff ability, Koltygin has a reasonable chance of being an effective NHL player. Long-term, Koltygin projects as a middle-six forward who is most effective on the power play. Tyler Halsey

Fantasy Outlook: B-

Kolytgin has the tools to be an effective second-line center whose skills are best utilized on the power play.
