Observations:

May 2016 – Lindbohm continued his development in the AHL this year, while seeing ten games with the Blues. He didn’t produce a lot of points, but the organization covets his defensive intangibles. Eleven points in the AHL isn’t what fantasy owners are looking for, but he could help with those secondary categories. Matt Kowalski

January 2016 – Lindbohm continues to play well for the Chicago Wolves of the AHL. St. Louis head coach Ken Hitchcock even commented that Lindbohm “deserves to be in the NHL.” The Blues seem content to let him gain experience in the AHL. Fellow blueliner Colton Parayko’s explosion has left Lindbohm without a spot on the roster. If one of the Blues' defensemen were injured, Lindbohm would likely be the first to be called on to fill in. Matt Kowalski

February 2015 – Lindbohm is a big, physical defenseman that has a hard shot from the point. Excels at using his body to shield the puck, and doesn’t shy away from a fight. He seems to understand how to defend the body with his large frame but could improve upon his skating. Most amazing is the offensive progress he has made while in the AHL. He is producing more points in AHL than he did even in his junior leagues. Typically the smaller American ice hurts European players, but for him it looks like it has helped. At 209 lbs he is physically ready. Even with Shattenkirk injured it doesn’t sound like Blues will give him a consistent role until next year. They just don’t trust his inexperience for the playoff push. The Blues still may call him up with Shattenkirk out, but it would likely be for a temporary role. Still, it’s impressive to see him anchor the Chicago Wolves (AHL) blue-line in just his first year in North America. Matt Kowalski

Fantasy Outlook: C

Possesses a great shot, yet still doesn’t score enough to draw attention, he is a physical defenseman that can rack up PIM and blocked shots
