July 2023 – The Philadelphia Flyers selected MacPherson in the sixth round, 172nd overall in the 2023 NHL Entry Draft. MacPherson played the 2022-23 season with the Leamington Flyers of the GOJHL (Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League); he had 61 points (25 goals and 36 assists) in 49 games. MacPherson will spend his 2023-24 season with the Penticton Vees before joining the University of New Hampshire in the 2024-25 season. Mark Henry
