Observations:

June 2016 – Shore has decided not to sign with the Senators and will test free agency come August 15th. During his four year career with Denver he scored 40 goals and assisted on 58 others in 151 games. The sixth rounder from 2013 has some solid offensive instincts but it isn't a huge loss for the Ottawa prospect pool. Brad Phillips

 

February 2015 – With older brothers Drew (FLA) and Nick (LAK) already flirting with the NHL, Quentin Shore is currently continuing his development at the University of Denver.  The center has put up consistent numbers since stepping on campus as a freshman and his junior season has been no different.  With 18 points in 24 games, Quentin is the team leader in power play points with 11 (3G 8A). Effective in all three zones, the two way forward does have offensive talent as a playmaker, but his future may lie as an NHL third line center.  Shore will need to find a niche in order to make it to join his brothers in the NHL. Kevin LeBlanc

 

January 2015 – Born and raised in Denver, Colorado, Quentin Shore skated for the US National Team in their development program before suiting up for the hometown Pioneers of the University of Denver.  In his first season, Shore scored 10 goals and added nine assists in 39 games for the Pioneers. As of January 16th in the 2013-14 season, Shore is just shy of a point-per-game pace, posting four goals and 13 assists through 19 contests. Shore was a part of the USA Under-18 team that won gold in 2012, scoring three times and adding a pair of helpers in six games in the tournament.  In December, Shore was selected to join Team USA at the 2014 World Juniors in Malmo, Sweden.  The Americans suffered a quarterfinal defeat to the Russians, who then went on to defeat Canada for bronze later in the tournament. Shore managed to tally just two assists in the tournament, which was par for the course as the Americans struggled to find offense. Nathan Martin

 

 

Fantasy Outlook: C

At just 19 years old, Shore is still a raw prospect.  Shore’s biggest strength seems to be his work ethic. He needs to improve his commitment to defense, as well as his positioning in the defensive third.
