Observations:

April 2018 – Sean Kuraly has turned into a reliable fourth line center for the Bruins. He’s a big body, reliable in the faceoff dot, and likes to play hard on the forecheck. In the Bruins first round playoff series against the Maple Leafs he was a key shut down player. The potential for offence is there, but he is still just a checking center who will chip in a point now and then but mostly pad your hit count. He finished third on the Bruins in this category this season with 143. He also has a knack for scoring in the playoffs. Sean has four career playoff goals including a game winner in just 11 games, all of which with fourth line minutes.

Kuraly is a role player and won't have much value in your standard fantasy format. Mike Drover September 2017 – Kuraly made a name for himself last spring during Game Five of the Boston/Ottawa series, scoring the game-winning goal in OT to keep the Bruins alive. Kuraly will look to tap into that clutch-performer reputation coming into camp. There are spots available in the bottom pairings of the Bruins’ forward group and Kuraly's mix of physicality, speed, and determination makes him a prime candidate for the spot. Kuraly recently played in the Bruins’ rookie tournament, dropping the gloves in Game Three vs. the Devils, and is showing the Bruins’ brass that he is here to play. Mike Drover

November 2016 – Sean Kuraly has been recalled to the Boston Bruins on emergency basis following an injury to Patrice Bergeron. Kuraly had a good showing in training camp and will likely see some action as a bottom line center. The Bruins normal lines will shift up to accomodate the introduction of Kuraly into the lineup.  Mike Drover

October 2016 – Kuraly made his presence known in Bruins exhibition play with 12 hits and seven shots in four preseason matches. While Kuraly didn't manage any points in an average of 13:23 per match, he did show promise as a third or fourth line pivot. Kuraly will report to Providence of the AHL. Mike Drover

June 2014 – The signs point to Kuraly going back to Miami University for another year. He is not ready for the NHL, but would do well in Worcester. However, Worcester isn’t in need of another center at this time so he will likely play better minutes if he stays for at least another year of NCAA play. His 2013-14 season was quite good. He scored timely goals and had some good moments. He needs to work on being more consistent with his play from game to game to be an effective NHL player, but will likely need wait at least two more years before he gets a chance. He has a strong build and has the ability to play mean, tough hockey. Tim Graveline
